If only it was that simple

In USA Today an article title "More Americans tailoring religion to fit their needs" Religion statistics expert George Barna states "We are a designer society. We want everything customized to our personal needs — our clothing, our food, our education," he says. Now it's our religion."

What is the cost of not identifying the counterfeit gospel? Could you explain the true gospel?  If you cannot answer to these questions, you are more likely not saved or you are not wearing the armor of God which make you very vulnerable to be deceived, Ephesians 6:11!  Not wearing the armor of God is compare to not protecting your computer with anti-virus software, Romans 13:12, Ephesians 6:11-13.

There is one thing a merchant does not want? It is a counterfeit bill. When depositing the end of the day earning, the bank teller goes through the bills, and if one bill is found to be a counterfeit, it is worthless, and is deducted from the merchant profit. For this reason a merchant instructs their cashier to verify a suspect fraudulent bill by comparing it with a genuine bill.  Some merchants even have at their disposal a special light to expose more easily the counterfeit bill. Merchant know and understand the cost of a counterfeit bill have on their business.

Major consequences of the counterfeit gospel within the Church are:

·        It causes division in the Christian community
·        And lead astray unbelievers.

What about you as a Christian?  Do you really understand the cost for not questioning the gospel that has being taught to you?  Many will be more than surprised but upset when Jesus will pronounce that He does not know them and that they are not found in the book of life. “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’  And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness,’ Matthew 7:21-23.

A Christian who continues to practice lawlessness is one who has not thoroughly understood the significant of the gospel of Jesus Christ. If you are to stand before the judgment seat of Jesus, you will argue that you did not know and that it was the gospel that you were taught.  You will strongly defend yourself by blaming your pastor, a priest or minister.  Mark God’s word, false teachers will not get away with it also because Jesus will bring everyone accountable, Matthew 24:48-51, Rev 22:18

Therefore, it is the responsibility of each one of us to question what is being taught. Jesus is coming back as promise. “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.  Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city,” Rev 22:7, 12-14. Are you sure that you have the true gospel?  

You ask, “How can I be sure that what I have being taught is the truth?”  One way is to follow the example of the Berean. They search the scripture to see if what the apostle Paul and Silas were teaching was the truth, Acts 17:10-11. Now, that was a difficult task because all they had was the Old Testament. The scriptures were not as ergonomic as the bible is today. It was a scroll.  Yet they were knowledgeable of the scripture, so they knew approximately where to look. All Jews as a child were instructs in The Torah.  Apostle Peter quoted from the Old Testament to convinces about 3000 Jews on the day of Pentecost. Please read Acts 2 for the detail.

I agree, we are not Jews, yet we have more then they had.  We have all the letters of the Apostles.  The Epistles are instruction given to churches especially in the area of warning against false teaching.  In the letters to the seven churches in the Book of Revelation, Jesus also instructs us to listen. “He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” You may dispute that you did not understand the scriptures and were in need of someone to explain it to you and were lead to stray.  Jesus warned His disciples, and is a warning to us, “Take heed that no one deceives you.  For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many,” Matthew 24:4-5.  “Will deceive many.”  Most Christians were brought up in a religious institution and are taken for granted everything that was taught to them without questioning.  And there are gentiles, new in the Lord, that fall for the first comer and stop searching. 

Jesus instructed us to keep asking, seeking, and knocking, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.  Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?  Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?  If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!  Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets,” Matthew 7:7-12. Whatever God gives you; share it also with others.  You found the truth, share it with others who also are looking for it.

Do you truly understand the important of doing your own homework? Jesus explained that there is only one truth and that is the one you are to look for. “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it,” Matthew 7:13-14.

Not only are you to be aware of the counterfeit gospel but you have to be aware of where it comes from also. It comes from secular humanism belief (of this world). The truth is truly narrow. The secular society teaches that there are many ways to reach a higher plain of existence, to ascension. Satan is the master counterfeiter. He wants to deceive as many as possible so that who ever do not believe and do not accept Jesus would be condemned to spend eternity in the lake of fire with him.  Satan motto is “They must not believe in the true gospel.”

Even Christians fall away to another gospel. “I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.  But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed,” Galatians 1:6-8.  It is so simple to recognize the other gospels. They all led you away from Jesus. It defiles the first commandment, “You shall have no other gods before Me” Exodus 20:3.  Anyone who breaks this commandment commits lawlessness. So you see, it was foreseen that it would happen especially close to the time of our Lord return, which is now. “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,” 1 Timothy 4:1. 

A falling away from the truth was prophesied and any Christians who studies Bible prophecy have observed a drastic change in our society cultural belief. The falling away will only increase to a point where the world will accept Satan himself disguise as an angel of light.  “Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God,” 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4. 

Today is the time you are to question the gospel that you had been taught. Do not be deceived as Eve had.  “But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it,” 2 Corinthians 11:3-4. Paul goes on saying, “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ,” 2 Corinthians 11:13. 

If the cross, the resurrection of Jesus Son of God, and repentance is not in the gospel that you were taught, it is a false gospel. Anyone who denies the deity of the Father, of the Son Jesus Christ and of the Holy Spirit is teaching a false gospel and he is against Christ, therefore anti-Christ, Matthew 12:30,  1 John 2:18,  1 John 2:22,  1 John 4:3,  2 John 1:7. Surprise!  The whole secular society is anti-Christ knowingly or by ignorance. Any one who proclaims to be the vicar between man and God other than Jesus is deceiving the many, John 14:6.

As I previous stated, some merchants even have at their disposal a special light to expose more easily the counterfeit bill.  Christians and those who seek the truth have a similar detecting device.  It is available to whoever asks for it.  It is Jesus that gives the light. God revealed to an old man named Simeon who is the light.

“…he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said: “Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word; For my eyes have seen Your salvation which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel,” Luke 2:25-32.”

Do you get that?  “a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles.” You are to keep your eyes on Jesus to know the truth and to stay in the truth.  Do you want more proof?  Read the testimony of Zacharias, John the Baptist’s father: “Now his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying… “And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Highest; For you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways, to give knowledge of salvation to His people by the remission of their sins, through the tender mercy of our God, with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; to give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.” Luke 1: 67,76-79.

John the Baptist’s commission was to point salvation to Jesus. The true gospel can be simplified in one verse, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved,” Acts 4:12.  That name is Jesus. As Peter respond to Jesus,  “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life,” John 6:68.

So what is the truth gospel? It is the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is Jesus the Son of God who became a man, born of a virgin women, who lives a sinless life to die in our stead on the cross and resurrect on the third day so that who ever believe in these acts of redemption receives eternal life.  That is in a nutshell the simplicity of the gospel “THE CROSS”, and all that it represents.  It is all about Jesus paying for the price for our sins. The Holy Spirit points to Jesus, Jesus points to God the Father.   Read my commentary titled,  “To become a Christian, that is easy, First &amp; Final Step...that explains that all you need to do is to Believe.  This is why and how.” Another important article I encourage you to read is, “Repentance is a must”.  

To summarize: you must believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation, which is being saved from a terrible destiny in hell for eternity.  Once you accept Jesus as your Savior and your Lord, He sends a helper and a teacher, the Holy Spirit, to assist you in walking with our Lord. Isn’t that wonderful! This is no mystery, believe in the teaching of the Holy Spirit, because the Spirit always point to Jesus, John 14:26, 1 Cor 2:13.  This statement might offend some, yet is true; “God reveal to those who love Him, 1 Cor 2:9”, and “those who seek him Heb 11: 6.”  Therefore love Him and seek Him, and the door to the truth will be wide open. “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name,” Revelation 3:8. ‘My word’ is the true gospel; ‘My name’ is Jesus.

To find a church or denomination that teach and keep the true gospel…. ask Jesus and He will direct your path. You Got To Serve Somebody

As a child, Bible stories always fascinated me. They were short, to the point, and imaginative. Among other fairy tale stories, Jesus captivated me. I stopped believing in Santa Claus, the tooth fairy, and the bogyman, yet I held on to Jesus' fairy tale until I reached my early teen years. Then, the super's paranormal drew my attention. I became very interested in these new phenomena.

I studied metaphysics, ESP, mind-over-matter, clairvoyant, and communicating with the so-called guide and the dead. The guide represents an angel who desires to help me reach a higher elevation of existence. I was experiencing some good results. I learned to influence people. I had foreseen some future events before they happened, and I even have experience in communicating with a dead friend. Oh yes, it works. It is real.

My first job after college was as a technician in an adjacent town. A coworker was also involved in these phenomena; he was an expert. I got to know why. I was at his apartment one evening when he revealed to me that Satan wanted to meet me. Satan demonstrated his presence by breaking in through a window. He took possession of my friend and started talking casually about innovation and new medical discoveries to cure cancer and other diseases. Was that weird or what? You might have thought that I would have run away at this time. No. That is when I realized that if Satan does actually exist, therefore, so does God. There is more to all this, but I decided to keep it to a minimum.

On another evening, we had a get-together with friends. As my friend from work was talking to his guest, I stared at him, and whatever he was talking about did not make much sense. That is where, in my mind, I said, “I know who you are. You are Satan”. Immediately, he looked up at me and said, “Now you know.” It was then that I realized that I had to leave, not just from his apartment but also from his influence. I quit my job and started working elsewhere at a different job in a different town. Little did I know that I was acting on Psalm 37:27; "Depart from evil, and do good; And dwell forevermore."

I started to put two and two together and understood why paranormal phenomena were real and did work. 

When it comes to ESP (reading people's minds), demons act like satellites. They act as an intermediate between me and another person in which I am concentrating to influence their thought. I have no skill. I am made to believe that I have. Demons read my mind and transfer my thoughts to someone else. When it comes to communicating with the dead, a demon impersonates the dead in response to my request. That is the reason why God forbids speaking to the dead. The dead, our loved ones, some destined to the resurrection of life and others to the resurrection of everlasting condemnation. As for the new age movement, their spiritual guides are no less than demons deceiving them to believe that there is another way to ascend to heaven. There is only one way, and that way is through Jesus. 

Demons can influence the mind but cannot possess your body unless you invite them to. I was protected because I never made the invitation. Aux contraire, I asked God protection. Since I understood that Satan exists, I understood that God also exists. It was God's way of calling me to His Son Jesus in the years following these occult experiences.

When I accepted Jesus as my redeemer for paying the penalty of my sins and accepted Him as my Lord, believing that He was the One that God had sent, not only was I forgiven for my sins, but I became an adopted child of God, I received the gift of everlasting life with Jesus. He is sharing His reign in me, and even more than that, I receive the gift of the present of God the Father in me by His spirit called the Holy Spirit, as a teacher and restrainer of evil influence in my life. Now, that is how I describe the gift of mercy and grace…. what a Mighty God we have.

Unfortunately, many others, as my friend, did invite Satan into their lives.  Many in this world debate whether God exists or sit on the fence without challenging their belief. They are part of “the many who are called,” but only a few are chosen (Matthew 22:14). Some already made their choice to follow Satan as described in (Ephesians 2:2) in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,”… (John 8:44) “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” The sons of disobedience are the sons of their father, the devil.  

Satan has his own bible, which describes the mystery of the universe and the secret of the government of God. I bought one. I understand this. I was invited to be part of the Sons of Disobedience. Revealing the mystery that pertains to God was one way to draw me to Satan’s camp. After my disassociation with my friend, I gave the book away. The sons of disobedience are those who are off the fence and/or made a decision to serve Satan. Satan just loves the skeptics, those who sit on the fence. The skeptics are easily influenced by the sons of disobedience, according to the prince of the power of the air.

Many Christians also fall under their influence, not taking Jesus and the apostle's warning. The Christians are admonished to be watchful (Ephesians 6:11-12): “Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Take note that the sons of disobedience are the ones who not only served Satan but also invited the spiritual host to their bodies. (Matthew 24:37), “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” What happens before the flood? (Genesis 6:1-4), Spiritual hosts (the sons of God) took wives for themselves, and they bore children to them. Today, their strategy has changed; the goal is to deceive as many as possible before Jesus returns. Their strategy is by influence, by altering principles and moral values…For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities (lies). It is a misconception to believe that all individual who are demons possess change their composer and speak a foreign language. This society has become so secular, and its immoral principles are now defined as personal choices that it is difficult to identify if a person is a demon-possessed. My co-worker did not change his composer. Satan identified himself to me through him. His principalities were suspicious. Not all declare who they are.

You would not know what you are up against unless you are wearing the whole armour of God unless you seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness. Unfortunately, too many Christians are putting their guard down and are unaware of what is going on in as much of the general population who are sitting on the fence. Many good articles out there describe what the armour of God consists. You could also ask your minister and pastor to give a bible study on the armour of God.

Look at some of the principles that have been altered to lie in the past 100 years.

Evolution vs creation (luck vs God’s word)

Albert Einstein's theory of relativity, which is applied in mathematics only, “there is no absolute,” is now applied to moral values…everything goes.

Homosexual is a lifestyle

Abortion is a birth control choice.

New Age movement teaches that you are your own god, master of your own destiny….

Divorce is considered a life improvement.

Understand this: we are masters of no destiny. You either serve God or serve Satan. Like it or not, if you are not saved, you belong to Satan. Adam did not only lose dominion to reign over the whole earth but also his master. This is the reason why we need a redeemer. Choose to serve God and study the purpose of a redeemer.

The Nephilim existed before the flood as giants (Genesis 6:4), after the flood (Gen 14:5-6 Numbers 13:32, Deut 1:26-28 & 2:10-11, Deut. 3:11, Joshua 14:15, 1 Samuel 17 & 2 Samuel 21:15-22) (Goliath and his four brothers), (II Samuel 23:20), two lionlike men of Moab. Some were described as physical giants, and some as animal-like humans. Today, the “sons of disobedience” are not giants, but the factor remains: what happened before the flood and after is happening again now! However, this time, Satan is using those who decided to choose him as master. They voluntarily accept to be possessed by demons or be influenced by them.

They made that choice in as much as I made the choice to accept Jesus as my Master. They allow themselves to be the instrument of Satan, to fulfill Satan’s deceitful plan. They are in every level of government and organization. You need to watch this clip video entitled “Agenda, Grinding America Down” and YouTube document on "Secret Society". 

There is no secret about who rules the world now! It is Satan. Satan's plan is to bring the whole world against Jesus at His return (Rev 16:16). Part of Satan's plan is to bring with Him as much human created in His image as possible for company in eternal hell. I believe that the “sons of disobedience” are the end of time Nephilim. They are behind the policies of the New World In Dis-Order agenda. Some people have willingly chosen to serve Satan. There are also many deceived, whom I call opportunists, who believe that global governance is a good idea since it will solve all the world's problems. 

The seed of men

God reveals to Daniel King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. God describes the sequence of global governance that will take place through the Time of Gentile. In Daniel 2:42, "And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile."

Global governance is described as a mixer of iron and clay, which means that the alliances between the nations that make up global governance, although strong, are kept together by a democracy and bureaucracy full of conditional treaties. That final time of gentile is better known as The Revived Roman Empire, but actually, it is the Revived of All Past Existed Empire.

 What you see in the picture is the traditional description of the sequence of empires until now. But what most students of bible prophecy disregard is that the toes support the legs, the legs support the thighs, the thighs support the breast, and the breast supports the head. It is one body, therefore global. Today, the society is as much Babylonian in costume, religious belief, and traditions as the Romans were.

Notice that Daniel describes a demonic phenomenon in (Daniel 2:43), "As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay." What do you notice here? What is happening:" they will mingle with the seed of men?" As it were in the time of Noah, but this time (this end time), men and women voluntarily mingle with demons but will not adhere to one another. In the Old King James, adherence is cleaved. They will not cleave, not stick together as angels did with women before the flood. Before the flood, there was physical and sexual intercourse between angels and women, where the effect was an alteration of the human DNA. Today, demons interact with humans differently. How do they do that today, and who are those who share their life with demons?

Who are those who voluntarily and purposely let demon influences them? Surprisingly, there are two categories.

These are the ones involved in the New Age Movement, Scientology, Transcendental meditation and concept therapy. Included also in that category is The Roman Catholic Church and its associates. What do they all have in common? They all communicate with spirit beings. They all call them by different names, such as guide, teacher, counsellor, and guardian angel, and The Roman Catholic Church calls them Mary, the virgin mother of Jesus, and all the saints. They all agree that Jesus is not the only way to ascension. They are earth dwellers who communicate with angels without understanding and accepting the fact that they are demons. This category plays an important role in bringing the final empire together. These individuals who have been deceived are unaware that they are the instruments of demonic influence. Satan's goal is to keep everybody from believing in the One that God had sent so that whoever believes in Him may not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). 

Then there are those who actually know and understand that they are dealing with demonic angels. As I explained previously, they are the ones who reject Jesus and accept Satan as their god. That category is the secret societies; Illuminati is the name, and Freemasons their associate. They are the ones who accepted Satan and his demons for one purpose. That purpose is to do everything to stop Jesus from claiming His throne and to reign in Jerusalem. 

As (high level) Satanists, we were told that the Illuminati at the top were very powerful satanic spiritual being - which is not entirely false because the people who are in the Illuminati are possessed by these beings.

 They are at every level of government institution and news media in this society and all nations. They are the ones who will do everything to destroy Israel from the face of the earth. Do not let religious division deceive you. Whether Islam or secular humanists, they will be reunited to face Jesus in the final battle.

UFO Phenomena are demonic related also. This is the most deceptive tool used by Satan. Deceiving people to believe that we are not alone in the universe. Since humanity is made to believe in the Theory of Evolution and that life evolved on Earth, life must also have evolved elsewhere.  All this is based on speculation, a theory not proven.  Yes, we are not alone in the universe. Rebellious angels share our space. They appear as light or objects in the sky. They have the ability to fly erratically as house flies do around the ceiling. They also took the reptilian image to make them believe they were from another planet. Nancy Lieder is the founder of the Zeta Talk website. Lieder describes herself as a contact with the ability to receive messages from extra-terrestrials from the Zeta Reticuli star system through an implant in her brain.     Oh yes, they are here to save the world from a certain doom caused by a collision with planet X called Nibiru. Christians, please open your eyes to see that you are saved.

There is more to salvation.  We are to watch, be aware and understand what is going on in the world.  "Seek yee first the kingdom of God and His righteousness" are to be our motto.  This world (the statue of King Nebuchadnezzar)  is like a huge hen house built by a fox, and in this case, by Satan.  We are the chicken. Unless you accept Jesus and surrender your life to Jesus, you will continue to belong to Satan.

Becoming a Christian is easy. The first and final step you need to take is to believe.  This is why and how".  There is more to salvation. You are to be part of a wonderful future. You just can't imagine.  This world is hopeless and desperate to live in peace.  You can live at peace NOW.  I am at REST in our Lord Jesus. I know many have been deceived by religions. I myself am one of them. I am 57 years old, and it took me 55 years to understand where Jesus wants us to be, which is at rest with Him. Many lies and confusion cause obstacles, yet Jesus' promises are sure if you know where to look for them. There are so many false teachers who also claim to tell the truth. What Do the Bible Say About Talking to the Dead?

Leviticus 19:31

'Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritisms, for you will be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.' (NIV)

Leviticus 20:27

"Men and women among you who act as mediums or psychics must be put to death by stoning. They are guilty of a capital offense." (NLT)

Deuteronomy 18:10-13

Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. You must be blameless before the LORD your God. (NIV)

1 Chronicles 10:13-14

Saul died because he was unfaithful to the LORD; he did not keep the word of the LORD and even consulted a medium for guidance, and did not inquire of the LORD. So the LORD put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse. (NIV)

He [King Manasseh] sacrificed his sons in the fire in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, practiced sorcery, divination and witchcraft, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of the LORD, provoking him to anger. (NIV)

What Does the New Testament Say?

The New Testament reveals that the Holy Spirit will be our teacher and guide.

John 14:26

But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. (NIV)

[Jesus speaking] When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me. (NIV)

John 16:13

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (NIV)

Spiritual Guidance Comes from God Alone

The Bible teaches that spiritual guidance should be sought from God alone through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. He has provided everything we need for this life in his Word.

Isaiah 8:19 

When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? (NIV)

Hebrews 4:14 

That is why we have a great High Priest who has gone to heaven, Jesus the Son of God. Let us cling to him and never stop trusting him. (NLT)

1 Timothy 2:5 

For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and people. He is the man Christ Jesus. (NLT)

Deceiving Spirits, Demonic Forces, Angels of Light, Counterfeits for the Truth

Are psychic experiences of talking with the dead real?

Yes, I believe they can be very real, but not true experiences of talking with dead people. The Bible considers these experiences to be associated with deceiving spirits, demonic forces, angels of light or counterfeits for the true Spirit of God.

1 Timothy 4:1 

The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. (NIV)

1 Corinthians 10:20-21 

No, not at all. What I am saying is that these sacrifices are offered to demons, not to God. And I don't want any of you to be partners with demons. You cannot drink from the cup of the Lord and from the cup of demons, too. You cannot eat at the Lord's Table and at the table of demons, too. (NLT)

2 Corinthians 11:14-15

But I am not surprised! Even Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light. So, it is no wonder his servants can also do it by pretending to be godly ministers. In the end, they will get every bit of punishment their wicked deeds deserve. (NLT)

Repentance Is A Most

It’s all about admitting who you really are…a sinner
And in need of a Saviour

 

“This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief,” 1Ti 1:15.

I know who I am and where I’m coming from.  I am a sinner from the day I was born and will be until I die or until Jesus second coming, whatever comes first.  Being born again does not make me sinless; no, it makes me circumvent the death penalty in the ever-burning hell. That is what is called ‘receiving mercy’. It is an act of forgiveness on the part of Jesus. 

“But that you may know that the Son of Man has ‘ power’ on earth to forgive sins,” Matthew 9:6.

I, on my own power, can not do anything to take away the consequence of my sins…nothing. Furthermore, since the Lord commands me to be Holy as He is in (1 Peter 1:16), I can only sin least in my walk with God. I can’t and will never be sinless.  I continuously need God's grace, mercy, and forgiveness. 

“If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us”, 1 John 1:10. 

To be saved, all we needed to do was to believe in Jesus… 

“This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent,” John 6:29.

 Yes, that is true, yet I was wrong not to teach repentance.  We need to repent. We need to recognize who we are.  Repent is the first step to obtaining salvation. 

“I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish,” Luke 13:3.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines the word repent as:

1.      to turn from sin and dedicate oneself to the amendment of one's life

2.    to feel regret or contrition

3.     to change one's mind

The definition of Merriam-Webster is quite adequate. The three definitions are part of the sequence a sinner goes through to receive salvation and live his Christian life. Repentance is a complete change of one's mind of our unbelief. It is not necessarily about our attitude toward our sinful nature and its damaged fellowship toward God.   We should not take sin lightly.  Repentance brings us to salvation, which is believing in our Lord Jesus's works.

The first statement that Jesus said at the beginning of His commission was

  “Repent[1], for the kingdom of heaven is at hand,” Matthew 3:2. 

 In this verse, Jesus admonished the Jews to start thinking differently, to change their minds.  The emphasis here was on the purpose: to realize that the kingdom of God among His people, Israel, was at hand.  What most Christians do not know is that because of the false teaching of the “Replacement Theology,” it is not understood that Jesus came first to proclaim His throne (Luke 1:31-33).  Daniel prophesied the date when  Jesus would proclaim His Kingship.  No one at the time knew that a Church was to be created as a consequence of the Jewish authorities' rejection of Jesus as the Son of God. As of this day, Israel is still God's chosen people. The Church and Israel have their purpose in the fulfillment of Bible prophecies.

What Jesus was saying when He made that statement, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand,” was ‘set your mind on the kingdom; set your mind on what you were told about the Messiah?’ He showed up to pay the price as a redeemer and to reign. The Jewish authorities are the ones who refuse to accept Jesus as the promised Redeemer and king, not the whole Jewish population.  Remember, there were about 3000 Jews later on who repented and accepted Jesus as the redeemer.  That was when the church came to be.

“Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call. And with many other words, he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them,” Matt 2:38-41.

In this circumstance, repenting means to change one's mind by understanding that Jesus is the one prophesied to take away our sin,  not about feeling regret or contrition. The 3000 Jews heard and understood Peter's message. Peter took the time to quote scriptures such as (Joel 2:28-32, Is 50:5, Ps 16:8-11, Ps 132:11, Ps 68:18, and Ps 110:1). Can you imagine the excitement arising from awareness of the free gift of eternal life from hearing these words?  That convicted the 3000 to repent and be baptized in the Spirit. Repentance was then extended to the gentile,

“When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life,” Acts 11:18.

When I look back on my life, I now realize the importance of repentance as a precursor to salvation. I fully realized the sinful nature I had and have today. Believing in God's grace is enough.  Yes, I am saved by faith alone by an act of grace by Our Lord Jesus. And this was only during the Church era.  Many who end up in hell will then believe that Jesus is Lord, the redeemer and the lamb that took away our sins. That will not save them.  They end up in hell because none repented; none believed that they needed salvation. None believed in the work that Jesus did so that they may attain the free gift of eternal life.  They all thought that they were good enough and that their good deeds would balance their bad deeds. “Even the demons believe—and tremble,” James 2:19. 

There is no hope for demons. Their destiny is to be in hell for eternity. They know it (Matthew 8:29).  They will be tormented forever in the bottomless pit. Satan and demons are not granted to receive eternal life even if they would repent.  Only humans are.

Yes, it is important to believe that Jesus is Christ. (Matthew 16:16) illustrate that believing - faith is the foundation of the Church. It is by grace and by faith that we are saved (Ephesians 2:8-9, John 6:28-29). Yet, repentance comes first. It is the realization that we need a saviour, separated from God and in need of Jesus to pay for our death penalty.

Jesus proclaimed the gospel by exhorting the Jews to repent, for His kingdom was at hand.  Today, it is the same gospel, but this time oriented to Jews and gentile; 

“testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ,” Acts 20:21.  

Please repent, for the rapture is imminent, for Jesus' return is near. If you die now before repentance, your destiny is the same as Satan and the demons, which is in an ever-burning hell where there is no hope, no forgiveness, only torment forever.

So this is the sequence to obtain everlasting life in Jesus: TRUST in the Word of God that clearly states that you are a sinner. Repent is to believe that Jesus is your Redeemer, the One who paid the penalty for your sins.  Ask forgiveness for your sins (Luke 18:13).  That will guarantee you eternal life.

Once we believe in Jesus, we learn to walk with Jesus.  When we stumble and sin, we ask for forgiveness. Not to gain salvation but to stay in good fellowship with God.  So, how do we repent? By admitting our sins and turning away from sins by overcoming them.  How do I overcome sin? Overcome sins with Jesus' help (Luke 10:19, John 16:33). Put your mind on doing good works not to gain salvation, for it is by God’s grace and faith ALONE that we are saved, but as a distraction and to prepare you to reign with Christ. Therefore, stop thinking about the temptation by keeping your mind busy. 

 “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good”, Romans 12:21.  

 Study the Bible, sing songs, give thanks to God, and do whatever it takes to overcome sins. Jesus is there to help you overcome, not to condemn you.


Quoting Joe McKeever, “That's why, from the moment you first experience His mercy, your life will be characterized by one overwhelming sensation: Gratitude.” Please read  “Getting What I've Got Coming.”

Now, you are ready to learn to walk in righteousness and thanksgiving by resting in the Lord and seeking God's kingdom (Matthew 6:33). Watch for His return (Matthew 24:42, Luke 12:37, 1 Corinthians 16:13).

“But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life,” Romans 6:22.
