The Paradox of the Promises and Faith

Here’s a paradox.  What came first? Is it the chicken or the egg?  For the evolutionist, it is a continual debate.  Millions of dollars are spent to research the origin of mankind.  What a waste.  As for Christians, it is not a paradox.  We believe in a God who created the earth and the heavens, man and woman, therefore the chicken came first. 

Here’s a paradox for Christians.  What came first, faith or God’s promises? Is it God’s promises that cause us to believe, and to have faith, or is it faith first then God’s promises?

I, like most Christians, doubt God’s promises. I'm like a yo-yo. "Doubt, trust, doubt, trust... etc.  The Old Testament is full of examples of people refusing to trust God, to believe in Him, and therefore taking the matter into their own hands.  To believe and trust only according to our five senses is easy.  We refuse to obey, to trust, to believe and therefore to have faith. We are told to wait on the Lord is a blessing, (Isaiah 30:18).  Faith is the substance of the thing to hope for.  What are we to hope for?  We are to hope for (in) His promises.  According to this statement, promises came second. But is it?  

Inasmuch as the chicken came with the ability to produce eggs, faith came first which give us the ability to believe in the promises and to act upon them.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them," Ephesians 2:8-10 

 P.S. "Created in Christ  Jesus for good work,"  keep that in mind.  

Jesus’ Parable of the Talents can explain this paradox. 

Matthew 25:14-30

I will be using the New Century Version (NCV) for its simplicity to understand the content since the KJV required explanation in the interpretation. 

"The kingdom of heaven is like a man who was going to another place for a visit. Before he left, he called for his servants and told them to take care of his things while he was gone. He gave one servant five bags of gold, another servant two bags of gold, and a third servant one bag of gold, to each one as much as he could handle. Then he left. The servant who got five bags went quickly to invest the money and earned five more bags. In the same way, the servant, who had two bags invested them and earned two more bags. But the servant who got one bag went out and dug a hole in the ground and hid the master's money.

After a long time the master came home and asked the servants what they did with his money. The servant who was given five bags of gold brought five more bags to the master and said, 'Master, you trusted me to care for five bags of gold, so I used your five bags to earn five more.' The master answered, 'You did well. You are a good and loyal servant. Because you were loyal with small things, I will let you care for much greater things. Come and share my joy with me.' Then the servant who had been given two bags of gold came to the master and said, 'Master, you gave me two bags of gold to care for, so I used your two bags to earn two more.' The master answered, 'You did well. You are a good and loyal servant. Because you were loyal with small things, I will let you care for much greater things. Come and share my joy with me.'

Then the servant who had been given one bag of gold came to the master and said, 'Master, I knew that you were a hard man. You harvest things you did not plant. You gather crops where you did not sow any seed. So I was afraid and went and hid your money in the ground. Here is your bag of gold.' The master answered, 'You are a wicked and lazy servant! You say you knew that I harvest things I did not plant and that I gather crops where I did not sow any seed. So you should have put my gold in the bank. Then, when I came home, I would have received my gold back with interest.' So the master told his other servants, 'Take the bag of gold from that servant and give it to the servant who has ten bags of gold. Those who have much will get more, and they will have much more than they need. But those who do not have much will have everything taken away from them.' Then the master said, 'Throw that useless servant outside, into the darkness where people will cry and grind their teeth with pain.'”

The bags of gold are referred to as talents in the KJV which are referred to as a type of currency used at the time of Jesus among men. I have heard many interpretations of what talent would represent. I heard sermons where talent actually represents personal ability, literally talents received from God to share with others, such as the ability to play a musical instrument, to sing, or special qualities used in one’s career. Some refer to talents as sole savers. In this case, we are responsible for saving souls by preaching the gospel.   I also read comments about the talent representing God’s word. By investing time in studying and thereby increasing our knowledge of God’s word, we are rewarded.  I also heard that talents represent the gifts given by the Holy Spirit. 

 "But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift," Ephesians 4:7

"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers," Ephesians 4:11

What really derails these interpretations of talents is the consequences of not investing: perishing in eternal condemnation in hell, (Matthew 23:33, Mark 3:29, John 5:29).  It does not make sense to lose your soul, especially to those who received gifts from the Holy Spirit, since only those who believed and accepted Jesus receive the Holy Spirit.  It is clear that once saved we are always saved.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit,” Romans 8:1. 

Pastor Jack Kelly from (gracethrufaith.com) explains this clearly:  

“If salvation is by grace thru faith Eph 2:8-8, and faith come from God, and if the one condition to believe in the death and resurrection, Jn 3:16, Rom 10:9 and the Holy Spirit is seal within us Eph 1:13-14 seal until the day of redemption and God Himself accept responsibility for our security 2 Cor 1:21-22 and if He is faithful to complete the good work that He began in us Phil 1:6 and that no one can snatch us from His Hand Jn 10:29, and that nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord Rom 8:38-39, then how can one fall away?” Get the point? 

  

Who then can fall into eternal condemnation, “into the darkness where people will cry and grind their teeth with pain?”  The answer is found in (Mark 3:29):

“but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation.”  

It is well understood that those who blaspheme against the Holy Spirit are those who refuse the teaching and the declaration that Jesus is Lord, Son of God.  The Sadducees and the Pharisees refused to accept Jesus as the Son of God after all the power demonstrated by the Holy Spirit manifested through Jesus to prove His deity.  They are condemned.  And those who believed are saved as Peter testified, (Matthew 16:16).  It is obvious that this useless servant in the Parable of the Talents was never saved.  So what does the talent represent?

Now open your eyes and see how great God’s grace is.

“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,”        1 Peter 1:6-7

The faithful servants in the Parable of the Talents represent those who accepted Jesus by faith.  They are the servants who received 5 bags of faith and 2 bags of faith.  Compare this to the unsaved who received one bag of faith.  All servants received according to the amount of faith they could manage. According to the scriptures, faith is measured and given in portions.  Here are some examples:

"For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith," Romans 12:3

"Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;" Romans 12:6

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, (Matthew 17:20), but have not love, I am nothing," 1 Corinthians 13:2

"If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?" Luke 12:28

"So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you," Luke 17:6

Faith: A choice to use it or not to use it.

Faith is a gift of God.  Surprise! Every living being, man and woman has a portion of Faith; (Ephesians 2:8), 

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” 

It required faith to accept the grace of God. It requires only one measure of faith to be saved by grace.  Each individual person ever exists and to come has received and will receive the testimony that Jesus is Lord, the Savior, the Son of God. 

“Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,” Romans 4:16. 

“All the seed” meaning the saved and the not saved.  The seed of God, created in His image, (Genesis 1:27). Everybody is guaranteed to receive one bag of gold, talent- faith. It only takes one measure of faith to be saved.  The servant who refused to invest it or to use it was secular in his way of thinking.  He/she refused to use this one portion of faith given to accept Jesus as the redeemer and Lord.

Listen again to the bad servant excuse, the one who received one bag of talent: 

“I knew that you were a hard man. You harvest things you did not plant. You gather crops where you did not sow any seed. So I was afraid and went and hide your money in the ground.” 

 You hear that complaint every day.  “God is unfair, and if there is a God why does He allow suffering?  How can He condemn those who never heard of the gospel?”  "God has no intention to save me." Secularist society does not understand God’s grace, therefore ignores the calling to redemption and does not use the one measure of faith given to them to be saved, (John 3:16).

Salvation is only the beginning. Faith Applied is Faith Invested

There are many in this world who received one bag of faith, yet hate God (Luke 19:14, 20 - 27).  God's grace and faith are given to all men/women with no exception. It is enough to make a choice: enough to invest in the bank in heaven and return faith back with interest, to be saved. (Matthew 6:20).  That choice to invest in the bank in heaven is to believe, to accept Jesus, and to trust in Him.  The interest received guaranteed not only salvation but also rewards.  The one who buried the bag of gold made the choice not to believe, and to reject Jesus.  Those who refuse to believe are condemned and are to be thrown into hell.   As the old saying goes, “Use it or lose it”.  

Faith is useless in hell,

therefore faith is taken away from them

and is given to those in heaven to enjoy for eternity.

The good servants, who have received five bags of faith and two bags of faith, are those who not only believed and accepted Jesus as their Saviour but also invested their portion of faith in any opportunities given to them according to their calling, (Ephesians 4:7, Titus 1:1, Hebrews 2:4, Hebrews 11:7, 2 Timothy 1:9).  They were not stagnating in being satisfied with salvation only but invested their faith all through their Christians life.  They are the ones who learned to trust in the Lord, to depend on Him for everything they endured with joy.   They are the ones who learned to walk with the Lord.  They followed the example of the Macedonians in Chapter 8 and verse 2 of the letter to the Corinthians.  They are the ones that invested abundantly in treasures in heaven, (Matthew 6:20).  Great rewards are awaiting them, (Matthew 10:42, Matthew 16:27, Luke 6:23, 1 Corinthians 9:18, Colossians 3:24).

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him,” Hebrews 11:6

“Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward,” 2 John 1:8 

 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work,” Revelation 22:12.  

Works by faith. "But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead," James 2:20? (1 Thessalonians 1:3, James 2:18).

Conclusion

We all have a measure of faith. Some have more than others according to their calling. Those with less have enough to make a decision to accept Jesus and receive salvation.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life,” John 3:16.  

Those who receive more faith have the responsibility to help those who have less faith.  These are the ones called into His ministry for different important positions, (1 Corinthians 12:28, Ephesians 4:11, Romans 8:28, Romans 1:1, 1 Corinthians 1:2, 1 Corinthians 7:17). 

Here is an example in James 5:14, 

“if anyone among you sick, let him call for the elders of the church and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.  And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.” 

Jesus stated that if we had faith inasmuch of a mustard seed we could relocate a tree.  I have not seen nor heard of anyone doing so.  None have enough faith to move mountains or trees. What was Jesus' point?  The point is 'on our own, we can do nothing'.  It is all Jesus doing.  

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” Philippians 4:13

"If you ask anything in My name, I will do it,"  John 14:14

 

Inasmuch Jesus was counting on the Holy Spirit to do all things through Him while He was a man; we are to be the same “humble as a child”.  Get it?

God has given you, your own little sandbox.  That sandbox is your present condition and circumstance that you are experiencing now.  Saved or not, you are exactly where the Lord wants you to be.  You have received a measure of faith according to your calling.  All have been called, Jn 3:16. It is up to you to invest it and reap your reward.  Therefore, if saved, use faith. For those who refused salvation, you will lose what you have. “For many are called, but few are chosen,” (Matthew 22:14).

If only it was that simple

In USA Today an article title "More Americans tailoring religion to fit their needs" Religion statistics expert George Barna states "We are a designer society. We want everything customized to our personal needs — our clothing, our food, our education," he says. Now it's our religion."

What is the cost of not identifying the counterfeit gospel? Could you explain the true gospel?  If you cannot answer to these questions, you are more likely not saved or you are not wearing the armor of God which make you very vulnerable to be deceived, Ephesians 6:11!  Not wearing the armor of God is compare to not protecting your computer with anti-virus software, Romans 13:12, Ephesians 6:11-13.

There is one thing a merchant does not want? It is a counterfeit bill. When depositing the end of the day earning, the bank teller goes through the bills, and if one bill is found to be a counterfeit, it is worthless, and is deducted from the merchant profit. For this reason a merchant instructs their cashier to verify a suspect fraudulent bill by comparing it with a genuine bill.  Some merchants even have at their disposal a special light to expose more easily the counterfeit bill. Merchant know and understand the cost of a counterfeit bill have on their business.

Major consequences of the counterfeit gospel within the Church are:

·        It causes division in the Christian community
·        And lead astray unbelievers.

What about you as a Christian?  Do you really understand the cost for not questioning the gospel that has being taught to you?  Many will be more than surprised but upset when Jesus will pronounce that He does not know them and that they are not found in the book of life. “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’  And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness,’ Matthew 7:21-23.

A Christian who continues to practice lawlessness is one who has not thoroughly understood the significant of the gospel of Jesus Christ. If you are to stand before the judgment seat of Jesus, you will argue that you did not know and that it was the gospel that you were taught.  You will strongly defend yourself by blaming your pastor, a priest or minister.  Mark God’s word, false teachers will not get away with it also because Jesus will bring everyone accountable, Matthew 24:48-51, Rev 22:18

Therefore, it is the responsibility of each one of us to question what is being taught. Jesus is coming back as promise. “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.  Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city,” Rev 22:7, 12-14. Are you sure that you have the true gospel?  

You ask, “How can I be sure that what I have being taught is the truth?”  One way is to follow the example of the Berean. They search the scripture to see if what the apostle Paul and Silas were teaching was the truth, Acts 17:10-11. Now, that was a difficult task because all they had was the Old Testament. The scriptures were not as ergonomic as the bible is today. It was a scroll.  Yet they were knowledgeable of the scripture, so they knew approximately where to look. All Jews as a child were instructs in The Torah.  Apostle Peter quoted from the Old Testament to convinces about 3000 Jews on the day of Pentecost. Please read Acts 2 for the detail.

I agree, we are not Jews, yet we have more then they had.  We have all the letters of the Apostles.  The Epistles are instruction given to churches especially in the area of warning against false teaching.  In the letters to the seven churches in the Book of Revelation, Jesus also instructs us to listen. “He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” You may dispute that you did not understand the scriptures and were in need of someone to explain it to you and were lead to stray.  Jesus warned His disciples, and is a warning to us, “Take heed that no one deceives you.  For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many,” Matthew 24:4-5.  “Will deceive many.”  Most Christians were brought up in a religious institution and are taken for granted everything that was taught to them without questioning.  And there are gentiles, new in the Lord, that fall for the first comer and stop searching. 

Jesus instructed us to keep asking, seeking, and knocking, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.  Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?  Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?  If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!  Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets,” Matthew 7:7-12. Whatever God gives you; share it also with others.  You found the truth, share it with others who also are looking for it.

Do you truly understand the important of doing your own homework? Jesus explained that there is only one truth and that is the one you are to look for. “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it,” Matthew 7:13-14.

Not only are you to be aware of the counterfeit gospel but you have to be aware of where it comes from also. It comes from secular humanism belief (of this world). The truth is truly narrow. The secular society teaches that there are many ways to reach a higher plain of existence, to ascension. Satan is the master counterfeiter. He wants to deceive as many as possible so that who ever do not believe and do not accept Jesus would be condemned to spend eternity in the lake of fire with him.  Satan motto is “They must not believe in the true gospel.”

Even Christians fall away to another gospel. “I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.  But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed,” Galatians 1:6-8.  It is so simple to recognize the other gospels. They all led you away from Jesus. It defiles the first commandment, “You shall have no other gods before Me” Exodus 20:3.  Anyone who breaks this commandment commits lawlessness. So you see, it was foreseen that it would happen especially close to the time of our Lord return, which is now. “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,” 1 Timothy 4:1. 

A falling away from the truth was prophesied and any Christians who studies Bible prophecy have observed a drastic change in our society cultural belief. The falling away will only increase to a point where the world will accept Satan himself disguise as an angel of light.  “Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God,” 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4. 

Today is the time you are to question the gospel that you had been taught. Do not be deceived as Eve had.  “But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it,” 2 Corinthians 11:3-4. Paul goes on saying, “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ,” 2 Corinthians 11:13. 

If the cross, the resurrection of Jesus Son of God, and repentance is not in the gospel that you were taught, it is a false gospel. Anyone who denies the deity of the Father, of the Son Jesus Christ and of the Holy Spirit is teaching a false gospel and he is against Christ, therefore anti-Christ, Matthew 12:30,  1 John 2:18,  1 John 2:22,  1 John 4:3,  2 John 1:7. Surprise!  The whole secular society is anti-Christ knowingly or by ignorance. Any one who proclaims to be the vicar between man and God other than Jesus is deceiving the many, John 14:6.

As I previous stated, some merchants even have at their disposal a special light to expose more easily the counterfeit bill.  Christians and those who seek the truth have a similar detecting device.  It is available to whoever asks for it.  It is Jesus that gives the light. God revealed to an old man named Simeon who is the light.

“…he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said: “Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word; For my eyes have seen Your salvation which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel,” Luke 2:25-32.”

Do you get that?  “a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles.” You are to keep your eyes on Jesus to know the truth and to stay in the truth.  Do you want more proof?  Read the testimony of Zacharias, John the Baptist’s father: “Now his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying… “And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Highest; For you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways, to give knowledge of salvation to His people by the remission of their sins, through the tender mercy of our God, with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; to give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.” Luke 1: 67,76-79.

John the Baptist’s commission was to point salvation to Jesus. The true gospel can be simplified in one verse, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved,” Acts 4:12.  That name is Jesus. As Peter respond to Jesus,  “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life,” John 6:68.

So what is the truth gospel? It is the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is Jesus the Son of God who became a man, born of a virgin women, who lives a sinless life to die in our stead on the cross and resurrect on the third day so that who ever believe in these acts of redemption receives eternal life.  That is in a nutshell the simplicity of the gospel “THE CROSS”, and all that it represents.  It is all about Jesus paying for the price for our sins. The Holy Spirit points to Jesus, Jesus points to God the Father.   Read my commentary titled,  “To become a Christian, that is easy, First &amp; Final Step...that explains that all you need to do is to Believe.  This is why and how.” Another important article I encourage you to read is, “Repentance is a must”.  

To summarize: you must believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation, which is being saved from a terrible destiny in hell for eternity.  Once you accept Jesus as your Savior and your Lord, He sends a helper and a teacher, the Holy Spirit, to assist you in walking with our Lord. Isn’t that wonderful! This is no mystery, believe in the teaching of the Holy Spirit, because the Spirit always point to Jesus, John 14:26, 1 Cor 2:13.  This statement might offend some, yet is true; “God reveal to those who love Him, 1 Cor 2:9”, and “those who seek him Heb 11: 6.”  Therefore love Him and seek Him, and the door to the truth will be wide open. “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name,” Revelation 3:8. ‘My word’ is the true gospel; ‘My name’ is Jesus.

To find a church or denomination that teach and keep the true gospel…. ask Jesus and He will direct your path. You Got To Serve Somebody

As a child, Bible stories always fascinated me. They were short, to the point, and imaginative. Among other fairy tale stories, Jesus captivated me. I stopped believing in Santa Claus, the tooth fairy, and the bogyman, yet I held on to Jesus' fairy tale until I reached my early teen years. Then, the super's paranormal drew my attention. I became very interested in these new phenomena.

I studied metaphysics, ESP, mind-over-matter, clairvoyant, and communicating with the so-called guide and the dead. The guide represents an angel who desires to help me reach a higher elevation of existence. I was experiencing some good results. I learned to influence people. I had foreseen some future events before they happened, and I even have experience in communicating with a dead friend. Oh yes, it works. It is real.

My first job after college was as a technician in an adjacent town. A coworker was also involved in these phenomena; he was an expert. I got to know why. I was at his apartment one evening when he revealed to me that Satan wanted to meet me. Satan demonstrated his presence by breaking in through a window. He took possession of my friend and started talking casually about innovation and new medical discoveries to cure cancer and other diseases. Was that weird or what? You might have thought that I would have run away at this time. No. That is when I realized that if Satan does actually exist, therefore, so does God. There is more to all this, but I decided to keep it to a minimum.

On another evening, we had a get-together with friends. As my friend from work was talking to his guest, I stared at him, and whatever he was talking about did not make much sense. That is where, in my mind, I said, “I know who you are. You are Satan”. Immediately, he looked up at me and said, “Now you know.” It was then that I realized that I had to leave, not just from his apartment but also from his influence. I quit my job and started working elsewhere at a different job in a different town. Little did I know that I was acting on Psalm 37:27; "Depart from evil, and do good; And dwell forevermore."

I started to put two and two together and understood why paranormal phenomena were real and did work. 

When it comes to ESP (reading people's minds), demons act like satellites. They act as an intermediate between me and another person in which I am concentrating to influence their thought. I have no skill. I am made to believe that I have. Demons read my mind and transfer my thoughts to someone else. When it comes to communicating with the dead, a demon impersonates the dead in response to my request. That is the reason why God forbids speaking to the dead. The dead, our loved ones, some destined to the resurrection of life and others to the resurrection of everlasting condemnation. As for the new age movement, their spiritual guides are no less than demons deceiving them to believe that there is another way to ascend to heaven. There is only one way, and that way is through Jesus. 

Demons can influence the mind but cannot possess your body unless you invite them to. I was protected because I never made the invitation. Aux contraire, I asked God protection. Since I understood that Satan exists, I understood that God also exists. It was God's way of calling me to His Son Jesus in the years following these occult experiences.

When I accepted Jesus as my redeemer for paying the penalty of my sins and accepted Him as my Lord, believing that He was the One that God had sent, not only was I forgiven for my sins, but I became an adopted child of God, I received the gift of everlasting life with Jesus. He is sharing His reign in me, and even more than that, I receive the gift of the present of God the Father in me by His spirit called the Holy Spirit, as a teacher and restrainer of evil influence in my life. Now, that is how I describe the gift of mercy and grace…. what a Mighty God we have.

Unfortunately, many others, as my friend, did invite Satan into their lives.  Many in this world debate whether God exists or sit on the fence without challenging their belief. They are part of “the many who are called,” but only a few are chosen (Matthew 22:14). Some already made their choice to follow Satan as described in (Ephesians 2:2) in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,”… (John 8:44) “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” The sons of disobedience are the sons of their father, the devil.  

Satan has his own bible, which describes the mystery of the universe and the secret of the government of God. I bought one. I understand this. I was invited to be part of the Sons of Disobedience. Revealing the mystery that pertains to God was one way to draw me to Satan’s camp. After my disassociation with my friend, I gave the book away. The sons of disobedience are those who are off the fence and/or made a decision to serve Satan. Satan just loves the skeptics, those who sit on the fence. The skeptics are easily influenced by the sons of disobedience, according to the prince of the power of the air.

Many Christians also fall under their influence, not taking Jesus and the apostle's warning. The Christians are admonished to be watchful (Ephesians 6:11-12): “Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Take note that the sons of disobedience are the ones who not only served Satan but also invited the spiritual host to their bodies. (Matthew 24:37), “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” What happens before the flood? (Genesis 6:1-4), Spiritual hosts (the sons of God) took wives for themselves, and they bore children to them. Today, their strategy has changed; the goal is to deceive as many as possible before Jesus returns. Their strategy is by influence, by altering principles and moral values…For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities (lies). It is a misconception to believe that all individual who are demons possess change their composer and speak a foreign language. This society has become so secular, and its immoral principles are now defined as personal choices that it is difficult to identify if a person is a demon-possessed. My co-worker did not change his composer. Satan identified himself to me through him. His principalities were suspicious. Not all declare who they are.

You would not know what you are up against unless you are wearing the whole armour of God unless you seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness. Unfortunately, too many Christians are putting their guard down and are unaware of what is going on in as much of the general population who are sitting on the fence. Many good articles out there describe what the armour of God consists. You could also ask your minister and pastor to give a bible study on the armour of God.

Understand this: we are masters of no destiny. You either serve God or serve Satan. Like it or not, if you are not saved, you belong to Satan. Adam did not only lose dominion to reign over the whole earth but also his master. This is the reason why we need a redeemer. Choose to serve God and study the purpose of a redeemer.

The Nephilim existed before the flood as giants (Genesis 6:4), after the flood (Gen 14:5-6 Numbers 13:32, Deut 1:26-28 & 2:10-11, Deut. 3:11, Joshua 14:15, 1 Samuel 17 & 2 Samuel 21:15-22) (Goliath and his four brothers), (II Samuel 23:20), two lionlike men of Moab. Some were described as physical giants, and some as animal-like humans. Today, the “sons of disobedience” are not giants, but the factor remains: what happened before the flood and after is happening again now! However, this time, Satan is using those who decided to choose him as master. They voluntarily accept to be possessed by demons or be influenced by them.

They made that choice in as much as I made the choice to accept Jesus as my Master. They allow themselves to be the instrument of Satan, to fulfill Satan’s deceitful plan. There is no secret about who rules the world now! It is Satan. Satan's plan is to bring the whole world against Jesus at His return (Rev 16:16). Part of Satan's plan is to bring with Him as much human created in His image as possible for company in eternal hell. I believe that the “sons of disobedience” are the end of time Nephilim. They are behind the policies of the New World In Dis-Order agenda. Some people have willingly chosen to serve Satan. There are also many deceived, whom I call opportunists, who believe that global governance is a good idea since it will solve all the world's problems. 

The seed of men

God reveals to Daniel King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. God describes the sequence of global governance that will take place through the Time of Gentile. In Daniel 2:42, "And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile."

Global governance is described as a mixer of iron and clay, which means that the alliances between the nations that make up global governance, although strong, are kept together by a democracy and bureaucracy full of conditional treaties. That final time of gentile is better known as The Revived Roman Empire, but actually, it is the Revived of All Past Existed Empire.

 What you see in the picture is the traditional description of the sequence of empires until now. But what most students of bible prophecy disregard is that the toes support the legs, the legs support the thighs, the thighs support the breast, and the breast supports the head. It is one body, therefore global. Today, the society is as much Babylonian in costume, religious belief, and traditions as the Romans were.

Notice that Daniel describes a demonic phenomenon in (Daniel 2:43), "As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay." What do you notice here? What is happening:" they will mingle with the seed of men?" As it were in the time of Noah, but this time (this end time), men and women voluntarily mingle with demons but will not adhere to one another. In the Old King James, adherence is cleaved. They will not cleave, not stick together as angels did with women before the flood. Before the flood, there was physical and sexual intercourse between angels and women, where the effect was an alteration of the human DNA. Today, demons interact with humans differently. How do they do that today, and who are those who share their life with demons?

Who are those who voluntarily and purposely let demon influences them? Surprisingly, there are two categories.

These are the ones involved in the New Age Movement, Scientology, Transcendental meditation and concept therapy. Included also in that category is The Roman Catholic Church and its associates. What do they all have in common? They all communicate with spirit beings. They all call them by different names, such as guide, teacher, counsellor, and guardian angel, and The Roman Catholic Church calls them Mary, the virgin mother of Jesus, and all the saints. They all agree that Jesus is not the only way to ascension. They are earth dwellers who communicate with angels without understanding and accepting the fact that they are demons. This category plays an important role in bringing the final empire together. These individuals who have been deceived are unaware that they are the instruments of demonic influence. Satan's goal is to keep everybody from believing in the One that God had sent so that whoever believes in Him may not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). 

Then there are those who actually know and understand that they are dealing with demonic angels. As I explained previously, they are the ones who reject Jesus and accept Satan as their god. That category is the secret societies; Illuminati is the name, and Freemasons their associate. They are the ones who accepted Satan and his demons for one purpose. That purpose is to do everything to stop Jesus from claiming His throne and to reign in Jerusalem. 

As (high level) Satanists, we were told that the Illuminati at the top were very powerful satanic spiritual being - which is not entirely false because the people who are in the Illuminati are possessed by these beings.

Rebellious angels share our space. They appear as light or objects in the sky. They have the ability to fly erratically as house flies do around the ceiling. There is more to salvation.  We are to watch, be aware and understand what is going on in the world.  "Seek yee first the kingdom of God and His righteousness" are to be our motto.  This world (the statue of King Nebuchadnezzar)  is like a huge hen house built by a fox, and in this case, by Satan.  We are the chicken. Unless you accept Jesus and surrender your life to Jesus, you will continue to belong to Satan.

Becoming a Christian is easy. The first and final step you need to take is to believe.  This is why and how".  There is more to salvation. You are to be part of a wonderful future. You just can't imagine.  This world is hopeless and desperate to live in peace.  You can live at peace NOW.  I am at REST in our Lord Jesus. I know many have been deceived by religions. I myself am one of them. I am 57 years old, and it took me 55 years to understand where Jesus wants us to be, which is at rest with Him. Many lies and confusion cause obstacles, yet Jesus' promises are sure if you know where to look for them. There are so many false teachers who also claim to tell the truth. Leviticus 19:31

What Does the New Testament Say?

The New Testament reveals that the Holy Spirit will be our teacher and guide.

John 14:26

Spiritual Guidance Comes from God Alone

Yes, I believe they can be very real, but not true experiences of talking with dead people. The Bible considers these experiences to be associated with deceiving spirits, demonic forces, angels of light or counterfeits for the true Spirit of God.
