A Boycott Against Israel (NOT IRAN?)

United Church's Worst Mideast Policy?

A Boycott Against Israel (NOT IRAN?)

Thus Saith The LORD “I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.” Joel 3:2

Any Church Denomination who sides with the so-called Palestinian's plight is slamming the Israelis right to exist and support Hamas and the PLO goal for Israel total annihilation.

I'm writing this commentary because I love God, my Fellow Christians, and Israel. It is a grave error to blame Israel for oppressing the Palestinians. It is my hope that many will change their view concerning Israel.

*You may view the article on the ucobserver web site The United Church still matters

The United Church of Canada General Assembly recommended a boycott of products from Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. While Prime Minister Stephen Harper says he is prepared to suffer any political backlash that comes his way for speaking out against anti-Israel rhetoric. Canadian PM: I Will Defend Israel 'whatever the cost'

Israel is the apple of God's eye
It irritates God eyes when nations, churches or individuals mess with Israel.   "I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed,” Gen 12:3.

On the fifth day of the August 2012 General Council meeting The United Church Council had vote to adopt 12 parts of a 13 - part motion, including one "encouraging members of the United Church to avoid any and all products produced in the settlement."

"Supporting a boycott against Israel settlement products put United Church beside the U.S. Presbyterian Church and Methodist Church and the British Methodist Church, all of whom have taken similar actions",
(The United Church Observer - October 2012[1])

Here is a statement made by the General Assembly in the October 2012 issue The United Church Observer¹ page 23: "General Council's encouragement to "avoid any and all products produced in the settlements" raises the question:?"" The General Assembly then list brands and products, which they assume, connected to the settlement.

This is pure political hypocrisy from the part of the United Church of Canada General Council, although the boycott is a proposal, the General Council had already formulated which Israel settlement product they encourage their members to avoid. This list is based on research by the Interfaith Peace Initiative, End The Occupation, Meretz U.S.A., Canadians for Justice and Peace in The Middle East, and the Coalition of Women for Peace. (The list available here)

At a gaze, these Organizations seem to have anti-Zionist trait. What is anti-Zionist? Anti-Zionism is opposition to Zionistic views or opposition to the state of Israel. What motivates United Church of Canada to follow them?

Interfaith Peace Initiative Statement: "Israel's occupation of Palestinian land continues in part because it is so profitable for companies in Israel and around the world."
Do you notice the anti-Zionism slur? It reminded me of Hitler treatments toward the Jews by instructing the German populations to stop buying all Jewish products. Yes, the Jews were blamed for all the ill conditions of poverty in Germany and it is used again against Israel for the poor state of the Palestinians.
End The Occupation: "In 2006, member organizations voted to adopt an anti-apartheid framework in its educational and advocacy work. This framework stresses the similarities between Israeli policy toward Palestinians and the apartheid system in 20th century South Africa. In 1973, the UN General Assembly adopted the International Convention on the Suppression and Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid, which declared apartheid a crime against humanity."
End The Occupation organization go to great afford to compare the situation between Israel and the Arab refugees as it was in South Africa for the purpose to call on the UN General Assembly to apply Crime of Apartheid against Israel. This is far more then boycotting Israel product.

Meretz U.S.A. "defines itself as a Zionist, Green, left-wing social democratic party. It emphasizes peace between Israel and the Palestinians based on a two-state solution as laid out in the Geneva Accord. The Geneva Accord would give Palestinians almost all of the West Bank and Gaza Strip drawing Israel's borders close to what existed prior to the Israeli annexation of territory at the culmination of the 1967 war."

Potential Consequences of a Palestinian State
To bring back the border prior to 1967 war would be suicidal to the security of the existence of the nation of Israel. It is clear that all Arab neighbours have publicly declared a complete annihilation of the state of Israel. Now why would the United Church want to be associated with an organization that is so radical by returning Israel to a none defendable border.

Canadians for Justice and Peace in The Middle East (CJPME) "is a pan-Canadian grassroots advocacy organization established under a different name in 2002 in order to "empower Canadians of all backgrounds to promote justice, development and peace in the Middle East, and at home in Canada". Specifically, it seeks to achieve these goals through the creation of a Palestinian state, as well as by encouraging Canadian citizens to ensure that their government lives up to what the CJPME see as its legal and moral responsibilities in upholding human rights and humanitarian law both in Canada and internationally."

"CJPME was established in 2002 by Canadians who wanted to foster justice, peace, prosperity and security for all peoples of the Middle East. In 2005, over 170 organizations from Palestinian civil society appealed to the world to impose a strategy of boycotts, divestment and sanctions (BDS) on Israeli institutions in an attempt to move the Israeli government to respect Palestinian rights. CJPME (CJPME’s Boycott Centre) has chosen to heed this call, and encourages its members and adherents to likewise take concrete steps to support this BDS campaign."
CJPME stated that they are concerned for the welfare for all peoples of the Middle East, yet their main focus is to point the finger toward Israel for all the instability and upheaval accruing all over the Arab nations. They focus only to a limited so-called injustice afflicted by Israel. Either the CJPME gobbles all the false propaganda broadcast by Hamas or they are anti-Zionism who only want to irradiate Israel right to exist.

Lately, an exhibit organized by Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME) supposedly depicting Gaza children’s art were draw by adult "depicting various scenes of alleged “Israeli brutality”. This was done to publicize lies. See the article title "Fake Gaza “Art” at Canadian Public Library". Not good for the CJPME reputation. Why would the United Church General Assembly want to be associated with an anti-Zionism organization?

The Coalition of Women for Peace: "is base in Israel and released a statement in September 2011, saying that a "mere declaration of statehood in the West Bank and Gaza Strip is incapable of ending decades of occupation and racial discrimination based on legal mechanisms that match the UN definition of apartheid, to solve the refugee problem or to lead to civil equality between Jews and Palestinians citizens of Israel. These issues can only be resolved in a just agreement to end the occupation while maintaining the basic individual and collective rights of Palestinians, wherever they reside. CWP call for ending the occupation, maintaining the Palestinians right of return and the right to resist the occupation by all legitimate and popular forms of resistance acceptable by international norms.""
The CWP do not condemn the Palestinians to launch missiles in Israel populated area.

As you notice the CWP described the deputed territories as occupied territories comparing against the state of the Palestinians as bad as it was in South Africa black population. It takes little time to research the history of the conflict in the Middle East to recognize that Israel always wants peace but the Palestinians always wants Israel to be erased from the face on the map.
Please watch this YouTube presentation title "Prager University: The Middle East Problem".

Why would the United Church General Assembly pursue the same ideology of these secular organizations with the objective to hold Israel responsible for the so-called poor state of the Palestinians refugees?  Why pour tar to the only democratic nation in the Middle East?

Raymond Ibrahim, a Shillman Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center and an Associate Fellow at the Middle East Forum wrote an article denouncing North America church leader persecuting Israel instead of condemning Muslims persecution of Christians.  Here a quotation - Guest Column: Humanitarian Hypocrisy

"These are the same church leaders who utter nary a word concerning the rampant persecution of millions of Christians from one end of the Muslim world to the other—a persecution that makes the Palestinians' situation insignificant in comparison.
Nor is this limited to history: from Nigeria in the west to Pakistan in the east, Christians at this very moment are being imprisoned for apostasy and blasphemy; their churches are being bombed and burned down; their women and children are being kidnapped, enslaved, and raped.  For an idea, see my monthly MuslimPersecution of Christians series, where I collate dozens of anecdotes of persecution every month—any of which, if Palestinians experienced, would make headlines around the world; but as it is only “unfashionable” Christians who are experiencing these atrocities, they are regularly overlooked.
Nor are Palestinian Christians immune from this phenomenon: a pastor recently noted that “animosity towards the Christian minority in areas controlled by the PA continues to get increasingly worse. People are always telling [Christians], Convert to Islam. Convert to Islam.”"

The Palestinians refugees are not the deed of Israel. The refugees are first and foremost Arabs and not Palestinians.  They are the result of the 1948 war conflict between surrounding Arab nations who refused the U.N. declaration of a new nation for Jews and Arab. The Arab nations forced all Jews out of their countries and demanded all Arabs working along side the Jews to get out. The Arab nations warred against Israel and were defeated. The new nation of Israel took care of all the Jews refugeed by integrating them into their society while the rich oil Arab nations refused to take care of their kind by forcing them to live in a poor state as refugees.  This was propagated to receive millions of dollars from the U.N. and the Western nations for the care of the refugees' plight. The Arab nations used this plight for their advantage, using it as propaganda to blame the ill state of the refugees on Israel. It worked. The money supplied by the U.N. and Western nations is mismanaged, use to smuggle weapons, keeping the refugees in poor state. By the way, do you know what Hamas motto is? It is "We love death as much as the Jews love life".

The now Arab refugees called Palestinians since the war of 1948 are used as the greatest propaganda machine to force Israel to surrender territories. Since when does a nation that chose to go to war and loose territories have the right to claim it back? What would have happen if we would have give back to Germany or Japan their loss territories?

John Hinderaker article titled "Time to Annex Judea and Samaria?” he stated:
"When the United States defeated Mexico in the Mexican War, what did we do? We annexed the Southwest. When France defeated Germany in World War I (more or less), what did it do? It annexed Alsace and Lorraine. After World War II, how did the Dutch obtain compensation from Germany? They annexed certain lands that were later sold back to West Germany for a large sum. Many such examples could be offered."
In 1967 it was an act of self-defence that caused Israel to take an offensive approach. When the enemy is ready to attack, is it not strategically logical to strike first? Would you take the first punch knowing that it could weaken you and destabilized you? Remember Pearl Harbour and the Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia.

"Israelis have the legal right to settle in Judea and Samaria and the establishment of the settlements cannot, and of itself, be considered to be illegal"
 - The Levy Report
The United Nations with Western nations took the burden for the welfare of the so call refugees and not the Arab nations rich in oil. Billions of dollars are given to the Palestinians government through the U.N, E.U., U.S.A., Canada, Israel, and many other nations. Little is used for it population. Here is a quotation from Birzeit University Working Paper[2]

“Why Palestinians despite they receive one of the highest levels of aid per capita in the world, and while international aid increased by seventeen-fold between 1993 and 2009, and the amounts received with the emergence of Fayyadism in the last few years exceed the total amount of aid received between 1994 and 2005, still cannot enjoy the aid dividends?" ? International aid disbursements to Palestinians totalled around US $20.4 billion between 1993 and 2011, averaging US$ 317 per capita annually. The total commitments totalled around US$19 billion. Aid inflows increased from an annual average of US $614 million between 1993 and 2003, to over US$1.7 billion since 2004. To illustrate the intensity of aid, in 2008/9 which was the peak of aid disbursement, only Liberia and TimorLeste had higher level of aid as percentage of GDP than Palestine, while its aid per capita ratio, put Palestine fifth after Mayotte, Palau, St.Kitts and St.Nevis and Marshall Islands. Aid as a percentage of GDP in the post-Arafat era ranged between 24% and 49%. The requested amounts of aid for the years 2011-13 are $4.8 billion according to the National Development Plan (Tartir 2011; DeVoir and Tartir 2009).”

The report goes on blaming Israel for the fail economic development:
“The critical literature also argued that ‘aid has been unable to foster sustainable development and that without addressing the fundamental barriers to development (Israeli blockades, military incursions and settlements); this will be difficult to achieve’ (UNCTAD 2009a,b, Turner 2009, 2011; Khalidi and Samour 2011; Barghouti 2012).
Blaming Israeli blockades, military incursions and settlements is pure propaganda. Israeli's blockades are to stop arms smuggling. Israel had all the right to stop the 'Freedom Flotilla' which aim was to break the International Law that supported the blockades.

“The commission headed by a retired Supreme Court justice, included four Israeli members and two international observers - David Trimble, a Nobel peace laureate from Northern Ireland, and Brig. Gen. Ken Watkin, Canada's former chief military prosecutor.  All signed off on the conclusions.  The commission defended the actions of the country's troops during last year's deadly raid on a Gaza-bound protest flotilla sailing from Turkey, finding in a report released that Israel had not violated international law.”
Most of the United Nations financial assistance is used to propagate propaganda and to support it war machine. The Palestinians are victims of their own government. They are in fact Hamas and the PLO hostages. Palestinians admit Gaza not starving, Hamassteals aid (4)
Honest Reporting Canada in National Post: "Boat to Gaza Reasoning Just Doesn’t HoldWater"

After reading Ehab Lotayeff of the Canadian Boat to Gaza’s case explaining why his organization set sail for Gaza, most fair-minded people will quickly conclude that these flotilla activists were only interested in confrontation, not aid, violence, not peace in an effort to generate international headlines for their anti-Israel agitprop.

Our rebuttal as published in the Post today, explains why the boat to Gaza's reasoning just doesn't hold water.

"People who are not in with Hamas don't see any of the relief goods or the gifts of money. Hamas supporters get prefabricated housing, furnishings and paid work. We get nothing."

As Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu noted in a speech at the UN General Assembly on September 27,
“every year, thousands of Arabs from the Palestinian territories and Arabs from throughout the Middle East come to Israel to be treated in Israeli hospitals by Israeli doctors. It’s because Israel cherishes life… and seeks peace.”
Watch this video of Palestinian Children Taught to Hate Jews http://youtu.be/etDb5tXPawc

Watch this video about the shocking similarities between Muslim and Nazi. Palestinians children are being trained for war. Hamas is stealing their youth.  Palestinians children are feed hateful propaganda and no one denounce it. See for yourself: Palestinians Children Of WAR http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Gzyeo1Z1I4&feature=youtu.be

Is it necessary to remind you of the stated objectives of Ahmadinejad, Hamas, Hezbollah, and Islamic Jihad? Their goal is not peace, but the final destruction of the State of Israel. Not a single time have they acknowledged the sovereignty of Israel? If a Palestinian State is created within the 1967 border with sovereign power to deploy troops, import modern weapons even weapons-of-mass destruction and operate with full secrecy and diplomatic immunity; the ability of the State of Israel to defend itself will be fatally compromised.

The UN Security Council pass Resolution 242 (1967) of 22 November 1967, stipulated that Israel be entitled to live in peace within secure and recognized boundaries free from threats or acts of force.
Israel always wants peace while the Arab nations always wanted to exterminate them. The Arab nations use hateful propaganda campaign against Israel at the cost of the Palestinians misfortune. For what purpose? To gain media attention and support! Canadian media are misleading us….do not be so gullible?  "Palestinians admit Gaza not starving,Hamas steals aid[4]."

So why would The United Church, the U.S. Presbyterian Church, the Methodist Church and the British Methodist Church, all call for a boycott on Israel product. Why are they supporting criminal like-minded Hamas, which seeks only to totally erase Israel from the Middle East map? Are they so blind and gullible to the Palestinians propaganda, or are they anti-Semitic? I believe that some of their Church's leaders have anti-Jews sentiments. After all, it is not the first time that a religious denomination participated in the elimination of Jews. Pope Pius XII is one example of none to too little intervention during WW2 Holocaust of the Europeans Jews[5]. In Canada, many Jews were denied citizenship. Between 1933 and 1939, Canada accepted only some 4,000 of the 800,000 Jewish refugees who escaped from countries controlled by the Nazis[6].

Hostility towards or discrimination against Jews as a religious group or “race” is still active in Canada. Hostility to the Jews emerged mainly because of religious differences. Christians were taught that Jews killed Jesus. They do not truly understand that it was only the Jewish religious authorities that plotted to have Jesus executed by the Romans since the Jews had no authority to do so under the occupation.

So why is it that the little nation of Israel no bigger then Prince Edward Island a threat to international peace by The United Church, the U.S. Presbyterian Church, the Methodist Church and the British Methodist Church? Is it because Israel is God’s people, set apart to prove to the world nations that He is God over all nations and He gave the land to whomever He chose, and in this case to His people Israel?

Israel Is The Key To Understand Bible Prophecy

Yes Israel, not the Church is the key to understand bible prophecy. The notion that the Church replaces Israel is hogwash. Replacement Theology is false theology [7].

It is the root of ANTISEMITISM.  "Antisemitism is born in ignorance and nurtured in envy.  It is the stepchild of delusion and evil", The Right Honourable Brian Mulroney, Chapter 1 Antisemitism: An Enduring Reality[8]

In 1948, God fulfill a prophetic event by miraculously bringing back the children of Israel to His land. “For behold, the days are coming,’ says the LORD, ‘that I will bring back from captivity My people Israel and Judah,’ says the LORD. ‘And I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.’”
Jeremiah 30:3

This event was proof to Israel that God fulfill His promises.

"Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel.  They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’  Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.  Then you shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves,”Ezekiel 37:11-13
Please notice that God named the land “His land”, the land that I gave to their fathers and Israel “My people Israel and Judah”.

Their land has been under foreign occupation for 2,553 years, from 586 B.C., when king Nebuchadnezzar took Jerusalem until 1948, then in 1967, the miraculous victory of the Jewish army capturing Jerusalem during the Six-Day-War, the times of the Gentiles ended,
Luke 21:24.

This was the prophetic sign that is to precede Christ’s return to set up His Kingdom for a thousand years upon the earth among His people Israel. Please watch on YouTubeJerusalem: 4000 Years in 5 Minutes: http://youtu.be/2mR2W43t6tI or listen to a Mp3 audio "Panorama Israel History" http://prewrathrapture.com/mp3/01_Panorama Israel History.mp3.

Yes, the survival of the Jewish people is a prophetic sign from God. The return of the Jewish people to the land promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is a wonder from God. The remarkable victories of Jewish armies against overwhelming odds in successive battles in 1948, and 1967, and 1973 are clearly phenomenon from God. The technological marvels of Israeli industry, the military prowess, the bounty of Israeli agriculture, the fruits and flowers and the abundance of the land are a testimony to God's watchful care over this new nation and the genius of this people. srael Defying All Odds"on YouTube: http://youtu.be/GQ1nEDgN_04

Anyone that goes against Israel touches the apple of God’s eyes, and that is very irritating. “For thus says the LORD of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye”, Zechariah 2:8 and will be curse Genesis 12:3 .

There is a coming event that will prove to the whole world nations that God love Israel.
“Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “On that day when My people Israel dwell safely, will you not know it? Then you will come from your place out of the far north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great company and a mighty army.
You will come up against My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me, when I am hallowed in you, O Gog, before their eyes.”  Thus says the Lord GOD: “Are you he of whom I have spoken in former days by My servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied for years in those days that I would bring you against them?

“And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” says the Lord GOD, “that My fury will show in My face. For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: ‘Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel, so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence. The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.’  I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains,” says the Lord GOD. “Every man’s sword will be against his brother.
And I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.  Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the LORD.”’  Ezekiel 38:14-24, Ezekiel 39:7.
Please notice 'they' refer to all nations and all world religions which include The United Church General Council.

Russia, allied with the Muslim Arab nations, will war against Israel. This time it look like they may succeed in eliminating Israel?  It will be like a hopeless condition for Israel. Again, God will intervene as He did in the past.  This time no one will deny that it was God intervention.

God made a promise to Abraham that whoever bless him will be blessed and whoever curse him will be cursed, Genesis 12:3.  Look at the 130 countries that officially recognized Palestine as a state based on the 1967 borders, led by the rising global player such as Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay, Ecuador and Venezuela. All nations that condemn Israel and goes against Israel have huge economic problem.

Under The Right Honourable Prime Minister Stephen Harper government,
Canadians has been protected against the economic collapse.  Canada is Israel bestfriend. Canada is prospering: “I will bless those who bless you”, Genesis 12:3

Council for a Parliament of the World's Religions
There is now an interfaith movement. Its goal is to reunite all religions of the world. It is prophesied that they will succeed in becoming a one-world religion. Christian denominations that take part in interfaith movement are based on a false gospel. The false gospel is a counterfeit gospel, the name Jesus is used but not His deity, Matthew 24:5.   This movement consist of Christians, Jews, and Muslim. This movement goal is to establish Jerusalem as the religious capital of the world. They are the instruments of the anti-Christ. This is the organization that promote Replacement Theology, and mislead the world in the greatest propaganda endorsing Christian Palestinianism: Jesus was Palestinian.

The effort to unify sun worship by creating a composite deity, alongside evidence of the development of local cults, evinces a movement towards both unity and plurality in the Egyptian Old Kingdom: one God (the ‘Great One’) and many gods (‘all the gods’). This should not be regarded as contradictory. To establish a unified politico-religious system the ruling power encouraged local religious identity and, by promoting a God-king whose commands had divine authority, limited the jurisdiction of the local priests and justified their own dominance. Unity was the purpose, plurality the method.
If you are a Christians and love Israel, ask your church where they stand. For or against Israel as is, in a secure border capable to defend it citizens?

Is Being Pro-Palestinian Really Being Pro-Peace?

Listen Now!  Audio Presentation  Jan hosts as she and her team, Chris Heeb and Larry Kutzler, report on a recent "Hope for the Holy Land" pro-peace rally at Bethel University in St. Paul.  Does being pro-Palestinian really translate into being pro-peace? If one is “pro Palestine” in the sense of embracing the diabolical “land for peace” initiative, or even the “two-state solution,” one cannot in any real sense, be pro Israel. Was this a genuine pro-peace effort or just a deception to bring naive students into the anti-Israel fold? Participants included Lynn Hybels, Sami Awad, and a rep from World Vision, long known for their Replacement Theology position. No Jewish history was cited, no Scripture was quoted, and no pro-Israel position was allowed into the forum. The president of Bethel University closed with his pro-Palestinian position while seemingly denouncing the "traditional" pro-Israel position he grew up with. If this is the trend among younger evangelicals, the biblically-prophesied abandonment of Israel is hastening. Chris Heeb heads "Good News for Israel." Learn more at www.gnfi.org
On a personal note:

This commentary is not aim to belittle any members of the church' denomination. It is to warn you of the dangers from the direction your leaders who have chosen to go against God's people. I love God, Jesus for the wonderful gift of eternal life, by receiving God's present in me through the Holy Spirit as a down payment of the promise hesitance to come. I love Israel because God used this nation to prove His present in this world. The Church has being crafted to Israel. We are one with God for the same purpose of representing His Kingdom here on earth but at a different moment in time. A future event will shock the nations. It is call the "Rapture". When that happens, Israel will once again be the instrument of God to judge the whole world.
One day in the late 19th Century, Queen Victoria of England reportedly asked her Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli, this question..."Mr. Prime Minister, what evidence can you give me of the existence of God?" Disraeli thought for a moment and then replied, "The Jew, your majesty."

“Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.
